Hello...

Hello, my name is Stacey Uma hence the blog title, umauma. I've made quite a few fashion blogs but I don't know, I think I'm going to stick with this baby. I love fashion, want to be a fashion journalist actually (every one says that, my guidance counselor says, and that I'll probably change my mind though i won't!). I thought making a fashion blog would be fun. I love to read them and I thought, why not? And it's Fashion Week in New York and I'm absolutely itching to write about it! So here's a little survey on moi so you can size me up and see whether you want to carry on reading...

How old are you? 

I'm 14, birthday October 23rd '96.

How would you describe your style? 

Erm, well I'm still finding out what it is. I don't think it has a label but it's very eccentric, vintage-esque. 

Where do you like to shop? 

Primark, those cheap stores in town, charity shops, ebay and vintage. I am not a very big spender. The only thing I've ever bought from River Island is sweets and a tote and Topshop is a little too expensive for me. I love H&M too! 

What do you study at school? 

I'm a year nine student getting ready to start my options, German, French and History! Very academic for a Fashion Journalist, don'tchathink? Don't tell anyone but I want to got to Oxford some day.

Where do you see yourself in ten years time? 

Ooo, I see myself as a young Robin Givhan, living in a lush apartment with a couple of friends and just settling in on my new journalistic life style! 

Who are your favourite designers? 

Well right now, Jil Sander and Victoria Beckham have really caught my eye! But I love Miu Miu, Henry Holland, Proenza Scholar and Missoni! 

Who are your favourite style icons? 

Blake Lively, Elizabeth Olsen, Alexa Chung and Miroslava Duma!

What can you not leave the house without? 

My Bus Pass and my Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick.

Why did you decide to make a blog? 

Because I need a writing platform where I can express myself! And I quite like the idea haha. 

So slightly random there! But I hope you've gotten to know me a bit better because next post (I cannot contain myself) will be a bit of a recap on the New York Fashion Week so far!
