Hey Soul Sister!

fur coat - vintage, top - charity shop, skirt - internationole

+ It's Sunday!! The day when I rush to do all my homework and revision and what not! To be honest, I think I hate school. It's really sad because I used to love it but now, I just can't wait to get home as school is just too much for me. I think, to be honest again lmao, I'd rather be homeschoolled. It'd be a lot easier and I'd finish school quicker!

+ Got my bestie her surprise present! There was alot of debate amongst my friends and when we took her to shops to ask her what she liked she was like "I don't like this" half the time but all in all, I think she'll love it! I saw alot of things I liked too so will be doing a little What I Want Now post tomorrow! What I do know now is that I'll never go shopping with all my girlies. It's just too much stress. Two or three is enough for meeee!

+ I don't know why but I feel a little upper east sidey in my fur coat! I got it for a fiver!!! The guy took 99p off and gave it me for a fiver along with that jumper I wore yesterday! Bargain or what!? I soo am going to have to go there soon. Hopefully when there's a Vintage Fair in my town - excited for that - then I'll just head off to brum after and shop there. I'm just saving up right now since alll the birthdays are coming up, week after weeek! HALF-TERM HURRY UP NOOOW!

+ Messed around with the photos abit  on picnik - did a little bikkle of posing too! It's actually fun, pretending you're on america's next top model, d'ya think I'd win? haha.

+ And on second thoughts, I do love my skirt too! All I needed was some red tights to perfect it! I think I've been trying to channel my inner Blair Waldorf, is it working?

+ Off to watch some Jersey Shore and The Duchess - a film, one of my bezzie mates is dying for me to watch aha.

Love,

Since You Been Gone...

vintage jumper - forever 21 leggings

+ I have been MIA for everr!!! I know but school has been getting on top of me and I had a hectic Summer looking for work experience - still haven't found any - sooo I haven't been blogging as much but I missed it and I'm back!

+ I'm wearing something lazy today because I'm just going to pop into town quickly to check out a new Vintage store and buy one of my best friends her b-day present. It's a surprise! The jumper is pretty much a lucky charm as it's sooo amazing and I got it for like three quid at this really cheap vintage store in Birmingham! I got alot of stuff, including these leggings which I looove! I'm yet to show you what else I got!

+New York Fashion Week - I've only seen Marc Jacobs and it was AWESOME! I loved the 20's feel and loved how some trends from last season were sorta incorparated - like the clear stuff (don't know how to say it!) Either today or tommorrow, I don't know, I am going to just sit and trawl through a load of fashion week stuff as I need to for an article I'm writing and I have been dying to see it all. I can't wait to have a look as LFW Sass and Bide! Ahh, the joy!

+Mizzzed youuuuu!

+Oh and I changed my blog name! I think I just needed a bit of a change and studs and poses sounded cool since I am a bit of a poser and I love studs!

Guns And Horses

tee - primark
harems - topshop

Sorry for the quality of the photo, it is absolutely hideous - i know - but I just had to do an outfit post guys! I've been missing the blogesphere and I've also been checking out sooo many new blogs, my favourites is full of them. I think I need to organise it a little bit more but I can't put ALLL of them in the Blogs I Read part because it'd just be so long. I think I'll do it when I'm free in about...two weeks!

It's mad but I actually have no life right now. I have an RE test tomorrow then I just have got to revise for my optional tests - which lets face it are SATs - and I've got to do a little plan for my Fashion creww as currently, we're not doing much. I'll give you a link to what I've produced so far sooon so that I can get your reaction but what do you think about this outfit?

It's simple and not too showwy. I'm thinking of wearing it to one of my mates Nandos doos for her b-day on Saturday and idk. It's like at about two-ish so I don't to be too dressy but what do you lot think? I'll show you what I might wear tomorrow probably but just wanted another person's opinion on this. Heels or no heels? eh? BTW - what is your favourite meal from Nandos? - I want to eat something niccce.

Off to go revise and have a cuppa and some toast but thanks for having a read,

PS - your are probably wondering why I called this guns and horses! I'm listening to the song and there are horses on the Primarni tee which I think is trying to channel that Mui Mui print which is really big since last SS.
PSS - Just wanted to ask all of you to pray for the people of Japan, CAN NOT BELIEVE IT, people of Australia and the people of New Zeland. The natural disasters that are happening right now are sooo bad. I want to raise money and do my part but I don't know whether my money - lets say £20 - will even benifit any of those people or just be pointless in the sense that it wont make the different I want to make. What are your thoughts on donating small amounts of money?

Kisses,

Umauma

Say Hello to your new Fashion and Style Director!

 blazer - primark
top - primark
jeggings - my mums

The picture looks a bit blurry but I liked the way the lighting sort of hit me without a flash! The top was about six quid and is very much channelling that miu miu look which everyone  (including myself) has been going wild about If I could have anything, I've have these blooody AMAZING SHOES!!!! I'm sorry but I could not actually wait til Monday to tell you how much I want them!

Enough about shoes, I thought I'd dress up smartly today since I am OFFICIALLY the new Fashion and Style Director for a new e-magazine (InterMag) my school is bring out for every term! It's so exciting, I actually can't believe it. I was going to run as the Editor-In-Chief (be the next Anna Wintour haha) but I figured, it's not a fashion magazine and if I wanted to do that Fashion Journalism course at Uni, this'd look really good. I'm thinking of building up a portfolio of it actually, I don't really know! I have some stuff from a year ago but it was so badly edited by the magazine so I really don't want it to be put in my portfolio!

It's exciting to even think that I'm Fashion and Style Director though. I got to pick a Deputy and I picked someone who's sort of out of the ordinary and went to my primary school. She dresses a bit like the emo/scene kids with all the vans and what not but half the population of my school dress like that or have the accessories to prove so haha and I think they're going to want to be able to look at the magazine when it comes to style and be able recognise their own style as well as the other styles there are around! I am just SOOOO mega excited! Had to tell you guys!

I got my eyebrows done, I really love 'em because I think I look so much better when I have them done and I just feel more confident. I was just trying to grow 'em out after a shaving incident (swear I've told you guys about this) and now they're wonderful and pretty and I look like an actual girl haha.

So basically school has been pretty amazing, I've grown fonder of becoming a fashion journalist and I got my eyebrows done, WOO! On the down side I have the worst toothache but I really don't want to get a filling because the numbing afterwards is AWFUL!

What do you think I should feature in my school magazine?

Love,

Umauma

She's a Model!

jumper - topshop

Yay, I had my hair relaxed (chemically straightened basically) and now it's nice and soft and ahhh, longer than it used to be! I never used to be able to put it in a high ponytail. Firstly, because I couldn't bun it up without looking stupid and secondly because, I cut it reaaaally short. Back in my rebelious days when I wanted to look like Rihanna! I think it did my hair a world of good though because it's grown nice and thick and longer!

When my friends saw it they were so lovely, my bestie even said I looked like a MODEL!? If I was a few inches taller and had smaller boobs and bottom then maybe we could be talking but ey, you never know? Though I was watching that model agency thing that's on channel 4 on a Wednesday at ten and someone called in and he was like "5'5? Nope, you can't be a model." He was harsh but true! I think I'd probably get murdered out there. I only want to be a fashion journalist! haha but it'd be a good way to get some experience of the fashion industry, dontcha think? Alexa Chung did it and now she has her own MTV presenting stint and has won an award for being a "Fashion Icon". I wonder how tall she is though haha. I think I'm like 5'5-5'6 but hopefully I'll grow taller because you stop growing when your 18 and I have OH NO three more years!? I better start growing fast haha.

No, I don't really think I want to be a fashion model but my little sister is gorge. I think my Mum should think of putting her in modelling or maybe I could hook her up when I get my nice jobbbb lmao. She wants to be a fashion designer. But before she wanted to be a hairdresser. Then a cook. Then a shopkeeper. Then a teacher. Lmao, kids these daaaays, eh?

This was just an utterly cluttery rant but I'm writing to my fashpal (fashionista's version of a pen pal haha - thank's Rachel Phipps for your penpal exchangeee!!!!), have a bit of h/w to do and am trying to set up a schedule for myself since I have a science test in two weeks and then in April I have like a week of BIG tests and I need to get into the GCSE top group 1 not 2 or else I think I'll die and never get into one of the schools of my dreammmssss OXFORD or London College of FASHION! Though since my whole whateveryoucallit is so academic and non creative, lol, I like to think of OXFORD!

Ps - I never knew the UK had an Ivy League AKA Russell Group!

Pss - check out mar browniesss!

Do you like my hair?

Love,

Stacey (Umauma is currently busy with Milan Fashion Week haha)

Photos!

photozzz!
Hello my gorgey followers, how are you today, haha? My day has been very eventful, dinner(lunch) with the headteacher and play fighting (yes, we're childish - i know haha) with a couple of mates which lead to a firm telling off and a another firm telling off tommorrow along with a detention, though lets hope the teacher forgets! I'm such a good student but very naughty too. Like a popular geek, I guess. School council, peer mentoring, bleh, what next, eh? At this rate I shall have my fast track ticket to Oxford....or not.

Enough of that, I just remembered that I have a photo tommorrow for peer mentoring! I really don't want to have it taken because I have PE also tommorrow which it quite annoying to say the least and it's this stupid thing called Fartlek and I'm in the mixed group which is absolutely awful because the boys are good at everything and just tire you out and make you all sweaty lmao! And I wear the most awful Reebok trainers. I would take a picture but I'm too embarassed. I would buy some new trainers but I just do not see the point in wasting a couple of quid on trainers. The boys havent't noticed them anyways so I'm good look.

Back to my photo though, I decided to take a few pictures haha to see what my pose is going to be because the whole school is going to be looking at this and since my mates are going to take a picture of it and put it on facebook I dare not look hideous!

I tried a few looks actually. Turban - I learnt how to do that from Fashion Champagne but mines look a bit bleh. It's really hot on trend and at first me and my mates were like wha? You joking meh? But they look quite stylish. I wonder whether people who wear them for their faith, find it offensive? Like when people wear rosary necklaces around their necks, I would never dream of doing that because you're not supposed to do that in Roman Catholic faith. Next I did bow - I am actually proud of my bow. They are also in fashion right now and I think it looks flimsy and pretty and just neat really in a cute way haha. I love it! I thinks it's very standy outy so I don't know whether my school teachers would be able to handle it. Lastly I did just me lol which I think is going to be the final decision and school having school rules prohibits me from wearing such thing.

Which was your favourite look and do you think Sikhs might find people wearing turbans offensive?

ps - look at my lurvely shortbread! You can get the recipe here, so easy and super yummy!

PSS - Just found out I'm taking passport photos too! Argh!
