Hey Soul Sister!

fur coat - vintage, top - charity shop, skirt - internationole

+ It's Sunday!! The day when I rush to do all my homework and revision and what not! To be honest, I think I hate school. It's really sad because I used to love it but now, I just can't wait to get home as school is just too much for me. I think, to be honest again lmao, I'd rather be homeschoolled. It'd be a lot easier and I'd finish school quicker!

+ Got my bestie her surprise present! There was alot of debate amongst my friends and when we took her to shops to ask her what she liked she was like "I don't like this" half the time but all in all, I think she'll love it! I saw alot of things I liked too so will be doing a little What I Want Now post tomorrow! What I do know now is that I'll never go shopping with all my girlies. It's just too much stress. Two or three is enough for meeee!

+ I don't know why but I feel a little upper east sidey in my fur coat! I got it for a fiver!!! The guy took 99p off and gave it me for a fiver along with that jumper I wore yesterday! Bargain or what!? I soo am going to have to go there soon. Hopefully when there's a Vintage Fair in my town - excited for that - then I'll just head off to brum after and shop there. I'm just saving up right now since alll the birthdays are coming up, week after weeek! HALF-TERM HURRY UP NOOOW!

+ Messed around with the photos abit  on picnik - did a little bikkle of posing too! It's actually fun, pretending you're on america's next top model, d'ya think I'd win? haha.

+ And on second thoughts, I do love my skirt too! All I needed was some red tights to perfect it! I think I've been trying to channel my inner Blair Waldorf, is it working?

+ Off to watch some Jersey Shore and The Duchess - a film, one of my bezzie mates is dying for me to watch aha.

Since You Been Gone...

vintage jumper - forever 21 leggings

+ I have been MIA for everr!!! I know but school has been getting on top of me and I had a hectic Summer looking for work experience - still haven't found any - sooo I haven't been blogging as much but I missed it and I'm back!

+ I'm wearing something lazy today because I'm just going to pop into town quickly to check out a new Vintage store and buy one of my best friends her b-day present. It's a surprise! The jumper is pretty much a lucky charm as it's sooo amazing and I got it for like three quid at this really cheap vintage store in Birmingham! I got alot of stuff, including these leggings which I looove! I'm yet to show you what else I got!

+New York Fashion Week - I've only seen Marc Jacobs and it was AWESOME! I loved the 20's feel and loved how some trends from last season were sorta incorparated - like the clear stuff (don't know how to say it!) Either today or tommorrow, I don't know, I am going to just sit and trawl through a load of fashion week stuff as I need to for an article I'm writing and I have been dying to see it all. I can't wait to have a look as LFW Sass and Bide! Ahh, the joy!

+Mizzzed youuuuu!

+Oh and I changed my blog name! I think I just needed a bit of a change and studs and poses sounded cool since I am a bit of a poser and I love studs!

Looking Fierce!

Heeey new followers! I just changed my layout around a little bit, do you like? I've been pretty bored today, might make an apple tart for my Dad but I made these owl rolls! The picture is a bit blurry but they were scrummy and I was lucky I had yeast in the house! They're a bit like bready cinimon rolls.  You can get the recipe here.

Oh and I just wanted to get your lots opinion on me setting up a little shop? I'm thinking vintage and shirts and jumpers make done up by me, what do you think? I really wanna do it and get it all set up before September atleast so WATCH THIS SPACE!

Now this post is titled looking fierce because I was pretending I was Tyra Banks whilst I was taking some photos today - don't you love America's Next Top Model? Yeah, I'm a sucker for reality TV but anyways I was doing this thing where you close your eyes and then open them just as the camera flashes! It was fun haha, might use it as my facebook photo though people think I'm mad enough anyways so it might be too out there!

I'm off anyways! I'll be sure to give you a fantastic post tomorrow!

Blackbird Singing In The Dead Of Night...

Where have you been? You may ask me! Well my life has literally been mayhem and my Saturdays have been spent either doing homework or being a lazy slob but this Saturday, I'm off to a little cousins party later but am ready to work and plan my shopping list for the next couple of months haha as well as work on the magazine which I have been so busy with, you would not believe what it's like. I'm unsure whether to unveil my vintage secrets to the world as they either might judge me or vintage could become mainstream and urgh, I would hate that.

I've been avoiding New look for all my life just because of that, it's mainstreamness but yesterday was mufti day (ownclothesday/rednoseday) and all my mates looked gorge in their floral shorts and sumer-y clothing whilst I dressed into something rather autmnish that made me look...well I didn't look bad but I don't think anyone appreciated what I was wearing as I'm pretty sure my mates were lying to me when they said I looked nice. Anyway, I saw the most amazing floral shorts in new look and am SO in love! Do you like? I'm very into ditsy floral and graphic floral haha.

To be honest, mutfi day revealed a really meek, vunerable part of myself that I haven't really ventured in that much as I got quite paranoid at the start of the day because looking different is hard. I want to be able to walk around, wearing whatever I want to wear and not giving two hoots but I don't know, at home I felt a million dollars then as I got a few stares I soon doubted myself and my white creepers :-(. I've then decided that I need to define somesort of style within myself, eventhough it's still very much mishmash though I guess I know what I want.

Enough about what you guys have been missing hah, I am going to promise that from this moment I will:

- Write atleast five times a week
- Do more outfit posts
- Do reviews
- Do giveaways once I get some more followers!

I could pledge to much more but I have to go worrrrk! Missed you all loads!

Now to commemerate my favourite song since watching Glee - Blackbird by The Beatles. I am actually in love with them! And That was my favourite of Glee - I actually cried most of the way through. AMAZING! If you aren't a Gleek - YOU DARN WELL SHOULD BEEEE!!!

What Did She Buy!?

I bought Vintage, my darlings! I have been MIA for a series of days but fear not, I'm back and ready to rumble. Recently a Mean Girls-esque book was created on blogger and I don't know why but I just felt like I couldn't come on here because everyone was like "Urgh, who even uses blogspot!" Lmao, I felt a bit weird but I'm over it now. I can't even be bothered to repeat what that anonymous person said about it. It's way too pathetic for my liking. Enough excuses haha!

I went to the VINTAGE FAIR WOOO! It was amazing. I found that the Saturday Flee Market which is normally there was amazing too and that I need to start going every other week or Month like I used to but also save mooore for Vintage FAIR!!! I was really good aha. There were loads of bargains and I bought a couple of things as well as things from Birmingham but I got SO lost, it was mad! I went there thinking, I know where everything was, followed some stupid directions and urggh, had to wait in a stupid queue but omgsh, I walked in and leather shorts were the first thing I saw. I wanted to buy all of them!

I ended up buying these though! They are high-waisted and I love the zips on the sides. The flash makes 'em look awful but they're gorge! They don't quite fit me though so I don't know whether to get them altered or loose weight (Only a little bit, one of my friends did it by just eating healthily and doing PE and she's loosing weight though I've been trying to eat healthily and keep getting different tempations from the school canteen!) OR I could just sell them on ebay and buy some from the next Vintage Fair in November because I think leather is pretty much going to be in for A/W by what Acne produced, don't you think? Or well what I've seen from blogs! BUUUT so many people have birthdays in October, including myself and I wanna show 'em off! Blehhh, help meee decide?

This bag, where I'm keeping all my buys from birmingham for safe keeping haha, is lovely! I got it for £3 from the flea (which is why I should be going there every so often!) and it's like a huge purse, I love it.Very kitsch (is that the right word?) and reminds me of all the oversized things like over sized bows. Speaking of bows, I SO need a bow tie! I forgot to look in the mens ties section but back to the bag, I often don't spend money on Vintage bags because they break on me but I couldn't resist a bargain.

This floral from Hypnotic, I lurrrve! I think I might give it to my little siter though haha but it'd be great for SUMMER! I'm not really looking at the trends that much for Summer haha but for the magazine, I have to :-P so I'm going to sprawl over the trends with a cup of hot cocoa and wearing some really cool primark glasses!

Primark has some AMAZING stuff by the way but I couldn't stick the line in Birmingham. I think I'm just gonna go on a Sunday morning and buy my velvet shorts and some glasses. They didn't have my flip up glasses though! I would have stayed in the line if they had them, NO JOKE!

I also got this top from Hypnotic. I think it's like a size 20 or something haha but it was in the sale and makes a nice oversized top because I am so for the oversized! It hides the flab and looks good if you wear it right. I think the shirt would look great with my leather shorts! CANNOT BELIEVE I HAVE LEATHER SHOOOORTZZZZZ!!!!

Lastly, I got these gorgie creepers! They're slip ons and I love them. I think I love shoes that have that little wedge of not foam but lmao, I don't know the word! They're sooo coool! I love them and they're not like your average creepers and I didn't even THINK about getting creepers, that's the mad thing about it! They are really just something I'd wear with a nice dress, they look so darn good on my feet, I need to make some wear them a bit more though or else I'll be getting blisters because of them

To be totally honest, I took forty quid with me and I think, I could've bought alot more but forty quid was TOTALLY enough money to take, a couple more tenners would have been nice but they're not urgently needed! If you are looking for a bargain and are sick of the highstreet, Vintage Fair is definitely your one and only stop!

What do you think of my buys?

PS - I also met this woman from FROCKONVINTAGE! I'll write a reveiw of her stuff tommorrow but I SO wish I took a camera, GAHHHHH, there's always next time or maybe when I'm in London in the Summer, I can take a couple of pictures of the Vintage Fairs or Sample Sales or Brick lane there though, note to self - REMIND COUSINS TO TAKE YOU!

Brown and Black!

cardigan - handmedown
peter pan blouse - hypnotic but was in Topship
bodycon skirt - cheapshopintown
tights - primark

I like this outfit. It's like one of the outfits you can wear day and night and I just love getting my legs out and wearing skirts sometimes. My style is all button-up shirts and whatnot but with a little bit of girlish flair just so you don't get me mixed up with the lads and I pretty much think the whole outfit suits moi so I shall definitely be wearing more shorts and skirts and dresses and playsuits!

I am going on a shopping spree next weeeeek! I know I've been banging on about it but Vintage Fair baby! I am like so excited but I don't know whether to go with my friends or not? If I go with them, I get all excited, buy everything, waste loads of money on food and get a little selfconscious if they don't like what I'm buying but if I don't...well I don't particularly mind. It'll be a bit lonesome but I just like to get things done and done properly, I'm a bit of a control freak like that. Like at school if we're set to do a team task, I'm normally the one who voices all the answers and eventhough, someone else is the leader, I always get my way somehow or another, though I like to be the leader but sort of feel bad when I'm dominating people because sometimes you can get so sensitive and whine to your mate and being in secondary school, there's just bound to be an argument over something silly like that. Gawsh that was a humungous sentence haha.

So, I'm guessing I'll mostly likely be going by myself but I'll remind my friends for good measure. I actually can't wait to do my first ever haul though just because I want to give my blog a bit more dimention and it'll be exciting for me and my followers/fellow bloggers!

I think everyone is really into black and brown. I don't know how it got turned into a no-no. I think it's a bit like velvet which used to be a BIG no-no but as soon as those primark Sales got stuck in, we fell right in love with it and it's pretty much hot on trend for A/W11. I first got into it when I read Kayla Hadlington, probably one of the first blogs I ever started reading, actually it was! I was so in love with it from then and when I saw this top in hynotic, I nearly died and went to heaven. But having big buzzungas (I don't even think they're that big but obviously, my tops disagree) I had to return it twice and finally settled for a size 10.

I used to be really self conscious about being a size 10 haha and used to buy everything in size 8 and convince myself that size 10 was such a baaad size. I think it's because everyone around me was quite slim though THANK GOD FOR THE HILLS! Sounds mad, right? I got comfy with my body from an episode of the hills? Yes, I can't remember what it was but yes, the hills saved my life and taught me that tight tops were not the most attractive of tops and how to dress for myself, not for the boys! Thank you Lauren Conrad! That reminds me that I need to stock up on her books for m big summer read.

I would tell you more but I'm off to watch the next skins on 4od!

What other fashion taboos are now hot on trend?
